Northeastern State Head Coach Clay Davis
On game one…
"We came out and swung the bats better than we did yesterday. We were a lot more aggressive. Some key people finally stepped up and got some big hits.
Navada Campos with two home runs and four RBI were big for us. Aguilar added three RBI as well.
Kayce Wooldridge pitched well and threw the complete five innings. She only allowed two runs and struck out five. We kind of went back to where I thought we were as a program."
On game two…
"Definitely saw some encouraging things again. Some of our seniors and more experienced people started swinging the bats better.
Megan Robison was 3-for-3 with two RBI,
Saharra Henson came out of her slump at little bit. She was 2-for-3 with three RBI and a big home run. We didn't pitch as well in the circle as we did the first game. We left the ball over the plate too much and with the wind blowing out caused for some big home runs against us. We just have to do a better job of getting the ball down and hitting our spots and carry us through as an entire pitching staff."
