NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH ROB CZLONKAOpening Statement…"It's a second game where we dominated in the stat sheet. I thought we dominated most of the possession. We had a lot of scoring opportunities, but we didn't find the back of the net again. We had so many near chance, with a few hitting the crossbar and the post. Regis did a great job defensively making sure they put a lot of people between the goal and the ball. In the end, if we're going to be this good at possessing the ball, we need to be an even better team that finishes their chances with a block in front of them."
Â
On working around injuries to the backline…"I wouldn't say our continuity wasn't there. I thought our guys did really well. We called on a few different guys today to play there and they did a great job. They played against a very good striker and he did exactly what he's capable of doing. I would say the backline did very well for the most part, and nine times out of 10 I would say those things wouldn't happen. You can say without Eric [Crawford] and without Jarrett [Whitcomb] and maybe a couple of other guys we'd be a little bit stronger and that might be true, but I'm really proud of our guys that played."
Â
On how these games affect the national rankings…"These last few games have been great learning tools. We got to see two different teams, we got to see two different problems to solve and we've got to deal with that. That's one of those things that we look at. We just have to take it one game at a time and find out what we can learn from each game. At the end of the season, the results and everything will stand where they are. When it comes to national rankings and those opinions, the only one that really matters is the one at the end of the season. Where are you at at the end of the season? Our goal is to be No. 1. Right now we're not too concerned about it, we'll think about that later."
