The RiverHawks (8-8) will first host Missouri Western State (7-7) in a doubleheader beginning at noon March 7. NSU will then meet Northwest Missouri State (2-4) in a doubleheader beginning at noon March 8. All four games will be played at RiverHawks Park.
Northeastern State had an eight-game winning streak snapped recently, dropping four games in Minnesota. Four RiverHawks are hitting .400 or above this season, led by
Alli Eales. The senior transfer is currently 21-for-49 (.429) with three doubles, four homeruns, 12 runs scored and 15 RBI. Redshirt freshman
Paige Gann is 21-for-50 (.420) and leads the team in homeruns (five) and RBI (18). Sophomore
Madison Boyd is averaging .407 (22-for-50) with 16 runs scored and 12 runs batted in, while redshirt freshman
Brianna Trujillo is hitting .400 (10-for-25). Junior
Kayce Wooldridge (4-3) has a 3.39 ERA in the circle this year with six complete games. She has recorded 41 strikeouts in 51.2 innings pitched. Senior

SCOUTING THE GRIFFONSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Missouri Western State University is located in St. Joseph, Missouri, and the team competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The Griffons, picked third in the MIAA Preseason Poll, are 7-7 in 2015, losing five of their last seven games. MWSU finished 2014 39-18, defeating the RiverHawks to win the MIAA Championship tournament. Katie Klosterman leads the team with a .360 batting average (9-for-25). Tiffany Gillaspy (.308, 12-for-39) leads the Griffons in homeruns (three), while Kailey Green (.243, 9-for-37) has 11 RBI to lead the squad. Shaynne Saladino is 4-3 in the circle for Missouri Western, throwing four complete games with a 3.62 ERA. She was named the first MIAA Pitcher of the Week this season. Janie Smith (3-4) has a 4.81 ERA, striking out 38 in 58.2 IP.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATSNorthwest Missouri State University is located in Maryville, Missouri, and the team competes in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. The team is 2-4 in 2015, beginning the season with a victory over Southern Arkansas before losing to Arkansas Tech, East Central and University of Illinois-Springfield. The Bearcats then split a doubleheader with Rockhurst. Northwest Missouri State was picked to finish eighth in the Preseason MIAA Coaches' Poll after finishing 20-30 in 2014. Stephanie Mark leads the way for NWMSU, hitting .500 (11-for-22) with three doubles, one homerun, five runs scored and 10 RBI. Sarah Baldwin is 2-0 in the circle with a 3.68 ERA. Baldwin has struck out 14 in 19.0 innings pitched.
