For the first time since the 2015 season, the RiverHawks will be at home for consecutive weeks.  Northwest Missouri is repeating a trip to Doc Wadley Stadium for the second season in a row.  In eight previous meetings, neither team has hosted consecutive contests.

Run the ball
Craig Davis ran for 170 yards last week at Missouri Southern and had the first 100+ rushing performance since Joel Rockmore on Nov. 14, 2015 at Lindenwood (116 yards).  The RiverHawks rushed the ball for 224 yards which was season mark and best since the 2015 season.  The freshman has 1013 all propose yards and 357 rushing yards this season.

On this date
Northeastern State has played on Oct. 27 five times with its last contest on this date coming in 2012 against Southwest Baptist at home.  The RiverHawks would win that contest over the Bearcats, 22-17.  NSU is 2-0 at home on this date in program history.

Against Ranked Teams
Northwest Missouri will be the fourth team this season at the RiverHawks will face that is appearing in the AFCA National Poll.   On MasseyRatings.com, the RiverHawks have played the 15th toughest schedule in the nation.  

Quarterback Notebook
  • NSU junior quarterback Jake Pruitt has played in seven contests this season and has started three games. 
  • Pruitt had a career high 284 yards in the air during his last start at Missouri Southern.
  • Pruitt does own a statistical anomaly and leads the MIAA in punting average thanks to pooch punt for 56-yards vs. UNK.
  • Jay Baker made his first start for the RiverHawks in week-seven against Lindenwood.  The redshirt-freshman went 8-for-18 with 99 passing yards, with a touchdown, and had a team high 21 carries.
  • Cade Yeager threw his 20th career touchdown pass for the RiverHawks in week-three.  The sophomore is tied for fifth in NSU's NCAA Division II record book.
Receiver Notebook
  • Ryheem Brummitt leads NSU with 32 receptions and has 495 yards this season.  Against Washburn, he caught season high 73 yard reception for a touchdown.  
  • Brummitt has the tenth most receiving yards in the MIAA this season, and averages 61.9 yards a game.
  • Isaiah Upshaw had a career high 104 receiving yards at Missouri Western on four catches.  The NSU sophomore had a team game high 52-yard catch in the third quarter.
  • Tight end Nick Thompson is second on the receiving side with two touchdowns.
Running Back Notebook
  • Tre'von Overstreet has started the last three games as NSU's lead back, and has six starts this season.
  • Davis leads the NSU backfield with 75 carries and 44.6 yards per game.  The freshman has three rushing touchdowns this season.
  • Boo McKnight scored his second touchdown of the season in week-eight at Missouri Southern.
  • Northeastern State has ran the ball more than passed in seven of the eight games this season.
Offensive Line Notebook
  • Chaz Jimerson, a local Tahlequah HS product, made his first career start in week-eight at Missouri Southern. 
  • John Waters made his first start for NSU in week-eight playing center.
  • Madison Wrather is one of three players on the NSU roster to start in all eight contests this season.
  • The Offensive line did not allow a sack of a NSU quarterback in week-eight at Missouri Southern.
Special Teams Notebook
  • Freshman Brady Ellsworth has 11 punts that have landed inside of the 20-yard line, which is tied for eight in the MIAA.  In 64 punts this season, he is averaging 35.9 yards per kick.
  • Craig Davis is second in the MIAA in All-Purpose yards with 126.6 and leads the conference in kick return yards with 599.
  • Davis' 94-yard run back for a touchdown on a kickoff against Nebraska-Kearney was NSU's first since Sept. 24, 2011 where Joel Rockmore scored from 92-yards out against Panhandle State.  
  • Davis ran back his second kickoff return for a touchdown against Lindenwood for 77-yards.  The freshman is now tied for first in NSU's Division II record book.  
  • Davis currently owns the second longest run back for a touchdown in the MIAA this season and it is the second touchdown on a kickoff this season.
  • The RiverHawks went 76 weeks in-between kickoff returns for a touchdown, Davis has ran back one in the last two home games.
  • The RiverHawks have blocked three extra-points this season and had two last week at Missouri Western. Ja'len Evans ran back a PAT for a safety in the second quarter at Missouri Western.
  • Upshaw's 34-yard punt return in the third quarter at Missouri Western was the longest since the 2016 season.
Defensive Back Notebook
  • Jean Bazile leads the RiverHawks with 64 overall tackles, he paced the team at Missouri Southern with 12. 
  • Jordan Prince had two interceptions at Missouri Southern, with on of those being in the MSSU end zone.   He is the first player since Sept. 9, 2016 (Devon Siers) vs. Lindenwood to have a pair of picks in a game.
  • Ty Nichols has broken up six passes and defended six others this season.
Defensive Line Notebook
  • Eli Harvey has started two straight games and had seven tackles last week against Missouri Southern
  • Amir Sa'id has played in all eight games this season with six starts.  He is seventh on the NSU roster with 34 tackles this season.
Linebacker Notebook
  • J'Quille Washington is third on the NSU defense with 53 tackles in seven games played.  Washington has eight and a half tackles for loss this season which is tied for seventh in the MIAA.
  • Tyrel Bell had seven tackles at Missouri Southern in his fifth straight start.  The NSU freshman is seventh on the defense in tackles with 33.
