Long Distance Finale
At 431 miles in-between campuses, the Saturday finale will be the longest in the regular season since 1953. Â Northeastern State finished its first season under then head coach Tom Rousey at Sam Houston State. Â The Redmen went 436 miles from Tahlequah to Huntsville, Texas. Â Sam Houston State handed NSU its first loss of the season 19-0 but still won its third straight Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC) title.
On This Date
Northeastern State has played on Nov. 10 nine times with its last contest on this date coming in 2012 against Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Â NSU has won their last four games on the road and is 4-1 overall on this date. Â NSU is 8-1 at overall on this date in program history.

Fort Hays State will be the sixth team this season that the RiverHawks will face that is appearing in the AFCA National Poll. Â On MasseyRatings.com, the RiverHawks have played the twelfth toughest schedule in the nation. Â
Quarterback Notebook
- NSU junior quarterback Jake Pruitt has played in eight contests this season and has started four games.Â
- Pruitt had a career high 284 yards in the air during at Missouri Southern.
- Pruitt does own a statistical anomaly and leads the MIAA in punting average.
- Jay Baker made his first start for the RiverHawks in week-seven against Lindenwood. Â The redshirt-freshman went 8-for-18 with 99 passing yards, with a touchdown, and had a team high 21 carries.
- Brice Waggle threw his first touchdown pass last week against Northwest Missouri.
- Cade Yeager threw his 20th career touchdown pass for the RiverHawks in week-three. Â The sophomore is tied for fifth in NSU's NCAA Division II record book.
Receiver Notebook
- Ryheem Brummitt leads NSU with 36 receptions and has 559 yards this season. Â Against Washburn, he caught season high 73 yard reception for a touchdown. Â
- Brummitt has the tenth most receiving yards in the MIAA this season, and averages 62.1 yards a game.
- Isaiah Upshaw had a career high 104 receiving yards at Missouri Western on four catches. Â The NSU sophomore is second in receptions with 21 this season.
- Tight end Nick Thompson is second on the receiving side with two touchdowns.
- Cory Jones and Mark Wheeland both had their first career touchdown receptions against Northwest Missouri
Running Back Notebook
- Craig Davis leads the NSU backfield with 83 carries and 42.1 yards per game. Â The freshman has three rushing touchdowns this season.
- Boo McKnight scored his second touchdown of the season in week-eight at Missouri Southern.
- Northeastern State has ran the ball more than passed in nine of the ten games this season.
Offensive Line Notebook
- Chaz Jimerson, a local Tahlequah HS product, made his first career start in week-eight at Missouri Southern.Â
- John Waters made his first start for NSU in week-eight playing center.
- Damarii Tryon returned to the field at Washburn after missing two games.
- Madison Wrather is one of three players on the NSU roster to start in all ten contests this season.
- The offensive line did not allow a sack of a NSU quarterback in week-eight at Missouri Southern.
Special Teams Notebook
- Freshman Brady Ellsworth has 13 punts that have landed inside of the 20-yard line, which is tenth in the MIAA. Â In 81 punts this season, he is averaging 35.7 yards per kick.
- Craig Davis is fourth in the MIAA in All-Purpose yards with 118.2 and leads the conference in kick return yards with 605.
- Davis' 94-yard run back for a touchdown on a kickoff against Nebraska-Kearney was NSU's first since Sept. 24, 2011 where Joel Rockmore scored from 92-yards out against Panhandle State.
- Davis ran back his second kickoff return for a touchdown against Lindenwood for 77-yards. Â The freshman is now tied for first in NSU's Division II record book. Â
- The RiverHawks went 76 weeks in-between kickoff returns for a touchdown, Davis has ran back one in the last two home games.
- Davis currently owns the fourth longest run back for a touchdown in the MIAA this season and it is the second touchdown on a kickoff this season.
- The RiverHawks have blocked three extra-points this season and had two at Missouri Western. Ja'len Evans ran back a PAT for a safety in the second quarter at Missouri Western.
- Upshaw's 34-yard punt return in the third quarter at Missouri Western was the longest since the 2016 season.
Defensive Back Notebook
- Jean Bazile leads the RiverHawks with 88 overall tackles, he paced the team at Central Oklahoma with 14.Â
- Jordan Prince had two interceptions at Missouri Southern, with on of those being in the MSSU end zone. Â He is the first player since Sept. 9, 2016 (Devon Siers) vs. Lindenwood to have a pair of picks in a game.
- Ja'len Evans had his second interception of the season in the second quarter against Northwest Missouri.
Linebacker Notebook
- J'Quille Washington is third on the NSU defense with 62 tackles in seven games played. Â Washington has ten tackles for loss this season which is tied for seven in the MIAA.
- Tyrel Bell had seven tackles vs. Central Oklahoma in his seventh straight start. Â The NSU freshman is seventh on the defense in tackles with 43.
Defensive Line Notebook
- Eli Harvey has started four straight games and had caught an interception that came off a deflection in the second half against Northwest Missouri.
- Amir Sa'id has played in all ten games this season with eight starts. Â He is fifth on the NSU roster with 47 tackles this season.
