MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – Northeastern State freshman
Nina Lee paced the RiverHawks in both rounds of the Henderson State Spring Invite on Monday and presently sits tied for 11th with a 150 (75-75).
As for NSU, they are stuck in the middle of the 12 team field with a 616 score (309-307) in sixth.
Lee led the RiverHawks with four birdies on Monday and tied with
Lexi Armon with 22 pars. Armon had one of two eagles in the tournament and carded a 156 (79-77) which landed the senior tied for 31st overall.
In her official NSU debut,
Amber Bruins shot the team's second-lowest score with 155 (79-76). The freshman had the second lowest stroke average on par-3s after 36 holes.
Kelsey Lumpkin matched Armon on the course with a 156 (76-80) and
Ebba Moberg carded a 158 (79-79).
This week's tournament was a late replacement for the RiverHawks who canned a trip to Edmond at the start of the spring due to cold weather.
Henderson State leads Texas A&M-Commerce by two shots with a 596. Midwestern State's Shi Qing Ong is the medalist leader by five strokes after firing off a 138.
Northeastern State will close out the tournament with the final 18 holes starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
