TAHLEQUAH – The RiverHawks Softball team will play five games this weekend at the Edmond Regional Festival. They will open the tournament on Friday when they face Colorado Christian at 6 p.m. On Saturday, they will face Colorado State-Pueblo and Colorado-Colorado Springs before taking on Chadron State and Oklahoma Christian on Sunday.
Leading Off
1. The RiverHawks are 2-2 on the season after splitting their games at the Harding Invitational over the weekend. They started with a thrilling come from behind win over Midwestern State on Friday afternoon before falling to Harding in the nightcap. On Saturday, they beat Drury 8-4 before narrowly falling to Delta State 2-1 to end the weekend.

Megan Green leads the RiverHawks, going 4-9 over the weekend with two doubles and a triple.
Addie Elbon leads the team in runs batted in with three while
Jess Schuler went 3-7.
Gail Young pitched 13 innings for the RiverHawks, going 1-1 and striking out eight batters.
Brittany Beaudet threw seven scoreless innings, allowing seven hits and recording two strikeouts.
3. The Cougars are 7-3 on the season, including a 6-4 win over No. 15 Cameron on Friday. They will open the festival against No. 7 Central Oklahoma, who beat them 7-1 on Saturday afternoon. Stephanie Day brings a team-leading .464 batting average into the weekend, with one home run and seven runs batted in. Kacie Bruger leads the team in home runs with four, as well as two doubles and one triple. Jennifer Romero has pitched 28.1 innings for the Cougars, allowing 15 earned runs while recording 33 strikeouts.
4. The ThunderWolves opened the season at the Lubbock Sports College Invitational, where they went 0-5, including a 5-3 loss to Fort Hays State. Sabrina Felix has been the leader at the plate, going 7-14 with three doubles, a triple, and three runs batted in. Taylor Strupp has made three starts in the circle, pitching 10.2 innings.
5. The Mountain Lions are 2-4 on the season, with their wins coming over Nebraska-Kearney and Newman. Brianna Santos has been the leader at the plate, batting .444 with three doubles, a triple and a home run to go with ten runs batted in. Braelyne Crenshaw has been the most used pitcher, going 2-1 with a 6.22 ERA in 18 innings pitched. All three of her starts have been complete games.
6. Chadron State will bring a 3-3 record into the weekend, including a season-opening 4-1 win over Fort Hays State and a 13-2 win over UT-Permian Basin. Alyx Gragg is batting .538 this season with one home run and five runs batted in. Mackenzie Kroll is 8-16 from the plate with a team-leading three home runs. DeAnna Barrera has thrown three complete games, allowing seven runs in 21 innings pitched and recording 21 strikeouts.
7. The Eagles are 9-1 this season, with their lone loss coming on Jan. 31 to Montana-State Billings. Since then, they have won eight straight, including a 20-3 thrashing of Missouri Southern on Sunday afternoon. Brie Dunckel is one of three Eagles to have a batting average over .500. She leads the team, batting .567 on the season. Jaiden Johnson has a batting average of .533 along with three home runs and 18 runs batted in. Brianna Robinson is hitting .538 with 13 runs batted in. Kali Crandall has been the ace on the mound, compiling a record of 4-0 with an ERA of 0.89. She has struck out 18 batters in 15.2 innings pitched.
