Freeman has three hits in loss to Bison

TAHLEQUAH – Blake Freeman had a three-hit game, but the RiverHawks could not overcome three Oklahoma Baptist home runs to fall 7-3 in their home opener Monday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bison jumped ahead in the first with a one-out solo homer to left. After a scoreless inning, OBU hit two more out of the park to put them ahead of the RiverHawks, 4-0.

A one-out single and double in the fifth put NSU runners on second and third for Blake Freeman. The sophomore turned on the second pitch he saw to right field to cut the Bison advantage in half.

After pair of scoreless innings, OBU extended their lead to 7-2 after getting three hits in the frame.

Nic Swanson scored NSU's third run in the eighth with the bases loaded on a sac fly. NSU would leave a pair of runners on with the tying run on-deck.

INSIDE THE BOX
- With hits on Monday, Freeman has an 18 game hitting streak and Chaz Orr pushed his to seven games.
- In only his 49th, career game Freeman has 27 multi-hit games.
- Fourth consecutive win for Oklahoma Baptist.
