TAHLEQUAH – The RiverHawks Softball team will compete this weekend at the Drury Invitational in Springfield, Mo. They will open the weekend Friday afternoon when they face William Jewell at noon and Southwest Baptist at 2 p.m. They will face Drury Saturday at 4 p.m. before a rematch with Southwest Baptist at 6 p.m. They will wrap up the weekend on Sunday morning when they face Wayne State.
Leading Off
1. The RiverHawks are coming off a successful weekend at the NSU/Cherokee Nation Festival, where they went 4-0, with wins over Doane, Kansas Wesleyan, Bacone and Haskell Indian Nations. Their overall record currently sits at 10-3.

Sierra Crick leads the RiverHawks with a .400 batting average this season. She has nine runs batted in, which is second-most on the team behind
Addie Elbon, who has 15.
Gail Young has made seven starts this season, posting an ERA of 1.07 and recording 43 strikeouts.
3. The Cardinals are 3-5 on the season after going 2-2 at the Lewis Dome Invitational. One of their wins was a 4-3 win over No. 3 Grand Valley State University. Allison Rawls leads the Cardinals with a .333 batting average. Lindsey Glynn has two of the Cardinals' home runs on the season and seven runs batted in. Kenzie Jones has been the top pitcher, appearing in five games, compiling an ERA of 2.50 with eight strikeouts.
4. Southwest Baptist is 1-11 on the season, with their lone win coming on Feb. 16 when they beat Emporia State at the Bentonville Tournament. Nya Morgan brings a .333 batting average into the weekend, with two home runs and five runs batted in. Alexis Dock has made five appearances in the circle, with an ERA of 4.74 and 19 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched.
5. The Panthers are 6-4 on the season, and are on a two-game win streak entering the weekend. Serenity Healey leads the team, batting .375 with three runs batted in on the season. Abbey McAteer has the lone home run for Drury while Jace Ummel has seven RBI. Haylee Van Deventer has been the ace pitcher, posting an ERA of 0.88 in 16 innings pitched this season.
6. The Wildcats are 5-4 on the season and are coming off a weekend where they went 1-2 at the Emporia State Tournament, with wins over Northwest Missouri State and Missouri Western. Kortney Buresh is one of two players who are batting over .400 this season. She has a .455 batting average while Ashley Hernandez is batting .440 with two home runs and nine runs batted in. Hadley Chvatal has anchored the pitching staff, making four starts. In 28 innings pitched she has recorded 20 strikeouts with a 2.50 ERA.
