Opening tip
• Northeastern State is seeking its first road victory of the campaign and first since Jan. 24, 2019; which also came at Lincoln.
• Both teams score nearly the same amount of points per game, but Lincoln allows 80.4 compared to Northeastern State's 70.1. However, both programs, in 2020-21, allow opponents to shoot high field goal percentages. If either team gets hot, it could be a high scoring game. Though this is the case neither has found success beyond the 3-point arc as each convert on 26.4 percent of attempts.
• Northeastern State will be missing senior leader Cenia Hayes and will play through Sanchez and Collins.
• NSU has run out seven different starting lineups out in 2020-21.
• NSU and LU are led in scoring by sophomores, Zaria Collins (NSU) and Jackson (LU).
• The RiverHawks have 11 returners on the roster while Lincoln sports two.
• Lincoln is operating at 25 percent fan capacity due to COVID-19 precautions.
• Saturday's game is one of six contests taking place around the MIAA. The RiverHawks are 2-3 on Saturday's this season.
Individual player notes are located on page 1 of the game notes

The series with Lincoln
• Northeastern State has won the last three meetings.
• The teams have met at least once per season since the 2012-13 campaign.
• The teams first met in Emporia Nov. 16, 1984, and then they did not play each other for 28 seasons.
• As a head coach at NSU, Fala Bullock is 3-0 vs. Blue Tigers. It is her best record against any MIAA opponent.

Blue Tigers notes
• Lincoln gets to the free throw line at the best clip in the MIAA but shoots just 68.7 percent.
• The Blue Tigers pull down 11.5 offensive rebounds per game and allowing second chances proved difficult for NSU at Central Missouri Thursday.
• The Blue Tigers allow 38.9 percent 3-point shooting.
• Three players score in double figures but only one pulls down 5.0 rebounds or more per game.
• With a new coach in Mize came six Floridians and 10 newcomers.

Looking back
• Northeastern State fell at Central Missouri 86-62 but shot its best percentage in five games at 41.8. UCM had 77 attempts to NSUs 55.
• The RiverHawks were without leading rebounder Hayes and forward Cielo McClain at UCM in a game that they were outrebounded by 24 and allowed 23 offensive boards.
• Collins led NSU with 15 points and six rebounds, she was joined by Shae Sanchez with 14 and Maegan Lee tossed in nine points.
• The RiverHawks got to the free throw line 19 times; ten more than the Jennies.
• NSU held UCM to 23.1 percent shooting in the final stanza.

Glancing ahead
• NSU returns home Thursday, Jan. 28, to host Pitt State with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m. In the last meeting Sanchez had a career-high in scoring and NSU nearly knocked off the 8-4 Gorillas.
