Kaylee Petersen's career-low round put the graduate student tied for the medalist lead Sunday, with the RiverHawks tied for fifth place overall.
Petersen shot two-under on the back nine and had four birdies on the Hot Springs Country Club for a 70 score. The Enid native is tied for the medalist lead with Central Oklahoma's Emma Shelley.
The RiverHawks turned in a 14-over, 302 score and is tied with Arkansas-Monticello, 13 shots back of Central Missouri, who holds a six-stroke lead over UCO.
Yasmin Hang had NSU's second-lowest score with a 75, putting the sophomore tied for 17th overall.
Aitana Hernandez had 13 pars but no birdies Sunday, putting her tied for 39th place with a 78.
Nina Lee shot a 79, landed her tied for 47th, and
Macy Rutland had an 82 (T75).
Northeastern State was third-best in the 19 team field with 57 pars; they were seventh with eight birdies.
The RiverHawks will be the second wave on the front nine teeing off Monday for the final round starting at 9:20 a.m.
