KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Northeastern State's Aitana Hernandez has been named MIAA Athlete of the Week in Women's Golf association officials announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
The honor is the second for Hernandez, who claimed medalist honors at the Grace Shin Invitational in Edmond.  She finished the tournament with a 142 (72-70) and led the 20 team field with nine birdies, including one on the final pin, to give Hernandez the outright individual crown by one stroke. 
 
Hernandez is one of three women's golfers during NSU's MIAA membership era to be named Athlete of the Week multiple times.  
 
The RiverHawks return to the course this Sunday for the Central Region Preview in Hot Springs, Ark.
