Opening TipÂ
- Northeastern State will be playing their sixth game in ten days to close out the season at home.Â
- Senior Day for the RiverHawks with Brad Davis, Troy Locke, and DeVonta Prince being honored before to tip-off.
- Luck has not been with the RiverHawks in several games this season, with ten losses coming inside ten points and two overtime setbacks.Â
- NSU broke a streak of 12 straight games with the same starting five on Wednesday at Emporia State. Â
- For the first time since the 2015-16 season, NSU will not have a player start every game this season.
- Brad Davis has shot a hot hand against the Hillcats in three meetings averaging 14.7 points per game and shooting 17-for-36 from the field. Â Troy Locke has averaged just over 11 points in three meetings with Rogers State.Â
- Injuries, COVID-19, and personnel changes have limited the NSU roster this season.  Three of NSU's original starting five are out of the season.  Two players are out of the year due to injury, and three active players have missed a combined 11 games.  Additionally, NSU played two games without its head coach.

The Series with Rogers State
- Northeastern State broke through and snapped a seven-game skid against Rogers State last season with an 89-73 win in Claremore. The 16 point win was the largest for a team inside RSU's home arena since Nov. 12, 2016, vs. Midwestern State.Â
- Rogers State took the first meeting in Claremore, 74-67, on Jan. 16, 2021.
- Northeastern State has had some close calls in Tahlequah but is winless in four meetings. Â All four contests were within nine points.Â
- One of the more unique coaching meetings in NCAA Division II men's basketball in Oklahoma with both head coaches being Northeastern State alumni. Â NSU's Ja Havens was a graduate assistant coach for two seasons while
- RSU's Justin Barkley played for the Redmen. Â Barkley would go on to be a member of the 2003 National Championship team at NSU. Â
- Lucas Hunter, NSU's assistant coach, was on Rogers State bench last season as an assistant.Â
- Head Coach Ja Havens is 1-2 vs. Rogers State.
About the Hillcats
- They closed out their home slate with an 87-80 win over Central Oklahoma on Wednesday evening.Â
- On the road this season, the Hillcats are 5-5.
- In 13 years of men's basketball, Rogers State has not finished .500 in the regular season.
- Lead the nation in 367 made free-throws and are second nationally in attempts with 469.Â
- Devin Pullum is second in the MIAA and 21st nationally at the free-throw line shooting 91.9-percent. Â Pullman leads RSU in scoring with 15.6 points per game which is the tenth best in the MIAA.

- Two of the final three games in the regular season are a result of postponements.
- The RiverHawks will play nearly one-fourth of their schedule in the final eight days of the regular season.
