ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Freshman Yasmin Hang is tied for fourth with a two-over par 74 at the NCAA Division II Central Regional after one round. Northeastern State Women's Golf is tied for fifth with a 312.
 
The GolfStat No. 28 RiverHawks are 24 over par and are five strokes off the cut line to qualify for the NCAA Championship. The top three teams at the three-round regional advance to the championship in Michigan.
 
Aitana Hernandez and Kelly Swanson are four strokes behind Hang and each carded a six-over 78 to tie for 19th. Swanson bounced back from two early double bogeys with two birdies.
 
Kaylee Petersen shot an 82 and Nina Lee an 86.
 
Northeastern State leads the field with 53 pars but only found five birdies. Hang leads all golfers with 14 pars and Swanson is the only RiverHawk to land multiple birdies.
 
Rogers State leads the 10-team field by eight strokes with a 299 team score. Hillcat Jessica Green leads the medalist with a seven-under 65 and set a course record. NSU is third of the four Oklahoma schools competing.
 
The RiverHawks will continue play with the second round getting underway a 9:25 a.m. tomorrow on the tenth pin at St. Joseph Country Club. They are paired with Arkansas Tech and Central Oklahoma.
