HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Following a pair of weather delays Monday, the RiverHawks turned in a 311 and are in sixth place at the NCAA Central Regional.

Northeastern State is 11 strokes back of the cutline for the final transfer spot to the NCAA Championship and five back of the fourth place.

Early rain delayed the start of the regional for two hours, and Kaylee Petersen was the lone NSU player left when play was halted at around 3:30 p.m.  At the time, Petersen was on her final pin.

Aitana Hernandez paced the RiverHawks with a 75 and is tied for 12th place.   Nina Lee is tied for 20th, shooting a 77; Petersen was a stroke back of her, tied for 25th.

Marybeth Bellnap shot an 81 (T35) and Yasmin Hang turned in an 83 (T44).

The RiverHawks were fourth with 52 pars and seventh with five birdies.

Rogers State leads the nine-team field by four strokes, shooting a 296.

Northeastern State will tee off at 9:10 a.m. for the second round with Central Missouri and Central Oklahoma.
