RiverHawks fall to Crimson Storm in GAC/MIAA Semifinals

BETHANY, Okla. – Southern Nazarene landed a goal in each half and shut out Northeastern State 2-0 in the GAC/MIAA Tournament Semifinal on Friday evening.

The Crimson Storm (13-4-2) entered the tournament as its top seed and host broke the scoreless match in the 36th minute on a far-right cross pass that found a SNU body just in front of the goal.  Five minutes into the second half they scored their second off a corner kick pass.

Northeastern State's offense was limited to two shots on goal matching their efforts in the previous two meetings with Southern Nazarene this season.  Mario Sapena led the RiverHawks with two overall shots taken with NSU having seven as a squad.

Southern Nazarene advances to Sunday's Tournament final to host Rogers State who beat Fort Hays State 1-0 in extra time.

The RiverHawks will see their season end with an 8-6-4 overall mark and sixth consecutive postseason appearance
