KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State pitcher CJ Briley claimed Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Baseball Athlete of the Week Honors Monday for a two-hit shutout of Fort Hays State.

Briley fanned nine Tiger batters in just his second start on the hill, threw 92 pitches, and had NSU's second complete game of the season.  The junior didn't allow an extra-base hit and only allowed one player into scoring position in a 12-0 series-clinching win for the RiverHawks.

The RiverHawks return to the field Tuesday night to host Central Oklahoma for an MIAA series finale at 5 p.m.
