ALVA, Okla. – Northeastern State led the opening three innings before Northwestern Oklahoma had a double-digit fourth and roughed up the RiverHawks 20-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
Coby Tweten had two hits and a pair of RBI, with the RiverHawks having four extra-base hits.
Blake Freeman and
Isaiah Keller had an RBI hit, and
Brayden Rodden pushed his hitting streak to eight consecutive games.
Northwestern Oklahoma moves to 18-25 overall with the non-conference win over NSU. The Rangers had five homers and 13 hits.
Northeastern State drops to 18-22 and will return to MIAA play Friday to face Missouri Southern in Joplin.
