TAHLEQUAH – The offensive woes continued for Northeastern State as they suffered their third consecutive shutout Friday to Rogers State, 3-nil.
Northeastern State (0-2-3) held the shot advantage, 19-to-10, for the third consecutive match and has been limited to two goals through its opening five contests. The Hillcats (3-1-1) earned their third shutout of the season and its first win in Tahlequah.
Rogers State scored its first two goals inside four minutes and broke the match open in the 24th. The Hillcats landed its third in the 66th minute.
Eileen Jeschke led the RiverHawks with seven shots and had half of NSU's six shots on goal.
Northeastern State moves on and will travel to Edmond on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match with Central Oklahoma.
