TAHLEQUAH – C.J. Briley pitched a complete game shutout, while Northeastern State dominated offensively in a 23-0 victory over Randall (Okla.).
The RiverHawks (6-4) were held off the scoreboard in the first, but scored in every inning the rest of the way. Tallying 19 base hits and benefitting from five errors from the visitors, NSU claimed their sixth consecutive victory in a commanding performance.
Briley's complete-game shutout was accompanied by 12 strikeouts, while
Cameron Michels served with the only home run of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning.
C.D. White continued his run of strong showings with a four-RBI performance, while the RiverHawks saw multi-hit afternoons from
Coby Tweten (three),
Ty Van Meter (two) and
Isaiah Keller (two).
The team ends their homestand tomorrow with a double-header against Hannibal-LaGrange (1 p.m.) and Randall (4 p.m.).
