Men's Soccer posts 1-1 draw at Dallas Baptist

DALLAS, Texas - Luis Felipe Karam gave Northeastern State an equalizer in the 82nd minute as they played Dallas Baptist to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.  The senior landed a goal for the second consecutive match as RiverHawks closed out its non-conference slate with a 0-3-3 mark.

Northeastern State took a season-high 25 shots on the Patriots with Karam's goal coming on a penalty kick attempt.  The shot attempts by NSU were the most since Oct. 27, 2022 (vs. Newman in Tahlequah).

Dallas Baptist (1-2-3) went the final 13 minutes playing a man down after they drew a red card and stopped seven NSU shots in the remaining time.  The RiverHawks had two near misses in the final minute with an on-target attempt by Landon Keizer with 45 seconds to go and Matheus Possamai had a kick go high right just before the end of regulation.

The Patriots' lone tally came in the 12th minute as they were limited to three shots-on-goal as they played to their second consecutive home draw with NSU.

NSU opens GAC/MIAA play at home starting on Thursday where they will meet Harding for a 7 p.m. tilt.
