HAYS, Kan. -- Northeastern State volleyball fell to Fort Hays State 3-0 on Saturday, dropping sets 25-19, 25-16 and 25-19 at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
Ashlyn Tag led the RiverHawks with nine kills, while
Simeon Paradiso added eight.
Paige Miller finished with seven kills, and
Devine Okon contributed five.
Sydney Dunkleberger recorded 19 assists and three digs for Northeastern State, while
Tiyana Bhatte added 12 assists and five digs.
Cailey Grinstead finished with six digs and an ace, while
Lanie Brown had four kills and two blocks.
Northeastern State hit .168 as a team, finishing with 35 kills and 18 errors on 101 attacks. The RiverHawks also recorded 35 digs, four service aces and four total blocks.
Fort Hays State hit .299 and had 45 kills. Ella Goodwin led the Tigers with 10 kills without an error, while Peyton Bergschneider added 11 kills. Haylee Wolf recorded 17 digs and five service aces.
Northeastern State falls to 1-16 overall and 0-6 in Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association play. Fort Hays State improves to 14-6 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
The RiverHawks return home Oct. 9 to host Emporia State.
