Texas native David Morgan will assume the roll as offensive line coach in his first season with the RiverHawks.

Morgan was a three-year letterman and two-year starter on the offensive line for the Mean Green at North Texas.  He lettered at center, guard and tackle during his stint and saw time on special teams. 

Morgan graduated from North Texas in 2000 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences and later received his Master’s in Kinesiology.

He spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at North Texas where the Mean Green advanced to the New Orleans Bowl, the first post-season appearance in 42 years.

In 2004, Morgan moved to West, Texas to take the helm as the defensive coordinator at West High School. In three seasons, Morgan led WHS to a 20-13 record and the first post-season appearance in 10 years.

Morgan moved to Wylie High School as the assistant offensive line coach in 2007, before accepting the job at Northeastern State.
