NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH TRAVIS JANSSEN
On taking the series from NWMSU…
“We are very happy with the results today. It was a great day, and I thought our guys were ready to go from the first pitch of the first game. We played pretty well. There are still areas of improvement, of course. Our goal is always to win the series, so we're very excited to be able to do that especially after losing the opener.”
On how the team responded after falling behind early in the second game…
“We just told them to not get too excited. There can be a tendency when you get down 5-0 to try and get them all back in a hurry, and that can make you anxious. Our guys did a good job of just letting the game come to them. We took it at-bat by at-bat and crawled back in it. We swing the bats pretty well.”
