KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State's Mayra Jovic picked up her second MIAA Athlete of the Week honor in women's tennis, league officials announced on Monday afternoon.

Jovic shared the MIAA award with Washburn's Alexis Czapinski after winning both singles matches last week and is now 30-0 in her regular season career at NSU. 

On Friday afternoon, the senior downed #3-ranked Czapinski in three sets (0-6, 6-4, 6-2) for her first loss of the spring championship season.  Jovic also beat Emporia State's Camila Ramos, 6-1, 6-4.  

In doubles, Jovic was 1-1 beating Emporia State but falling short 6-4 to Washburn's #4-ranked doubles pair, 6-4.
