What has been your favorite moment as a student-athlete at Northeastern State?

  • My favorite moment as an NSU athlete was being able to be on the field with my teammates. Just having that opportunity meant the world to me. Knowing that every time my teammate and I step on the field, we were going to give 100%.
What has been your most meaningful experience outside of athletics?
  • The most meaningful experience outside of being an athlete was having the opportunity to volunteer to work with children in the community. I was able to go read to several students in local schools and work with students in athletic. I was also given the opportunity to volunteer at the Special Olympics every year.
Who was/is your favorite professor at Northeastern State, and why?
  • The teacher would have to be my favorite would be professor Jarilyn Haney. She has helped me plan my whole special education career. She has helped me plan my schedule ever schedule so that I graduate on. She has been a great mentor and someone I truly look up too.
Do you have plans for post-graduation yet? If so, what are they?
  • My plan after graduation is to work in the special education field. I am undecided on what grade to teach yet. I also plan on finishing my master's degree in the autism spectrum.
What advice would you give to younger athletes about their time at Northeastern State?
  • My advice to younger athletes is to enjoy every moment of it. Take every opportunity you have and run with it because you never know when it will be taken from you. Every time you take the field whether it be practice or a game act like it will be your last time.
