KANSAS CITY, Mo. --
Jaxon Phipps headlined Northeastern State's MIAA Academic Baseball Honors Friday with 12 student-athletes named to the Association's Honor Roll.
Phipps is the first individual in the program's time in the MIAA to be named to the Academic Excellence list twice for having a perfect 4.0 GPA. The recent master's graduate was also on the Scholar-Athlete list for a second time for having at least a 3.5 GPA and being named All-MIAA.
He was also on Association's Honor Roll for a fourth time, which is dedicated to those with at least 3.0 GPA.
Blake Freeman and
John Rains joined Phipps as Scholar-Athletes and were on the Honor Roll along with
Connor Bell,
Lee Callison,
Reid Fehr,
Seth Key,
Justin Murphey,
Konner Neal,
Chaz Orr,
Quinten Romero,
Jonathan Smithey, and
Conner West.
Newcomers and First-Year student-athletes will be named at a later date this summer.
