KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- 51 Northeastern State First-Year and Newcomer student-athletes earned academic accolades from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Monday as members of its Honor Roll.
Football led the way with 12 student-athletes being named, followed by baseball with 11. Softball is third with eight, with men's golf and women's soccer tying with six, respectfully.
Student-Athlete must have at least a 3.0-grade point average to be eligible to be on the Association's Honor Roll.
The RiverHawks have four landing on the Scholar-Athlete list for having at least a 3.5 GPA and being named All-MIAA. Those named are
Chloe Bohuslavicky (Softball),
Carly Kelley (Softball),
Brayden Rodden (Baseball), and
Maria Popova (Women's Tennis).
Popova joined six others at NSU on the Academic Excellence list to have a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Dillon Bailey (Men's Golf),
Hayley Garcia (Women's Soccer),
Sofia Lundgren (Women's Tennis),
Brayden Strickland (Men's Golf), and
Keeli Welden (Softball) joined Popova.
