TAHLEQUAH -- One of the top offensive bats in the Central Region will transfer to Northeastern State for the 2022 baseball season, Head Coach
Jake Hendrick announced Monday.
Brock Reller (Grand Forks, N.D.) led the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) this last season in home runs with 17 and was third in RBI with 49. He will come to the RiverHawks as a graduate transfer following three seasons at Minnesota-Crookston. Â
"We are very excited about what this addition does for next years team," said Hendrick. "Brock has proven to be a tremendous player in his career up to this point, and his addition makes an already experienced and powerful lineup even scarier."
Reller was a First Team All-NSIC selection and was named Second Team All-Region by the Coaches and Media following a season where he helped guide UMC to its conference tournament semifinals and a 26-12 season. In three years at Crookston, Reller belted 31 homers, 113 RBI, and had 118 hits.  His home run total would land him third on NSU's NCAA Division II record book for career homers and fifth in RBI.Â
Before his time at UMC, Reller played his true freshman season at Iowa Central Community College. At Grand Forks Central High School, he was a two-time All-State pick in baseball and was also an All-State pick in Hockey.
Reller will also re-join his former assistant coach
James Cullinane. Â The NSU assistant worked with Reller during the 2019 and 2020 seasons at Crookston.
