WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Northeastern State shot a 291 Tuesday afternoon at the Prairie West Golf Club to wrap up The Perkins in fifth place with a three-round, two-day total of 860.
The RiverHawks entered the day six strokes back from fourth-place Central Oklahoma (B). They were unable to improve their placing with UCO (B) recording a 285 on the day and an 848 overall to tie with Central Oklahoma for third place. Southwestern Oklahoma (840) won the tournament by one stroke after passing Missouri S&T (841) in the final round.
Parker Rose and
Cole Waymire led all RiverHawks with a 213 across the tournament to tie for 11th. Rose shot a 75 in the final round after entering the day in a three-way tie for third. Meanwhile, Waymire logged a 72 to finish out the tournament.
Will Livermore had the best day among all NSU competitors with a 70 in the final round to finish with a 216.
Brett Wilcoxen shot a 75 to end with a 221, while
Gabe Replogle shot a 74 to total a 222.
The RiverHawks head to St. Joseph, Mo. next week to participate in the Holiday Inn Express Invitational on Oct. 9-10, hosted by Missouri Western.
