Women's Tennis swept in Edmond

EDMOND -- Northeastern State suffered its lone sweep of the year in their women's tennis finale with Central Oklahoma handing the RiverHawks a 7-0 setback on Sunday afternoon.

The loss drops the RiverHawks (9-7) to 4-4 in MIAA play and will lock them into the upcoming tournament's No. 6 seed.

Northeastern State lost the doubles point and opened singles flat by dropping in the first set on all six courts.  They would win the second set on four different courts but the closest NSU would get to grabbing a point was Sandra Mari Marti who lost 2-6, 7-5, 4-6 on three.

Central Oklahoma moved to 8-9, matching NSU with a 4-4 MIAA mark, and by tiebreaker will move to the No. 5 seed in the association's tournament.

NSU's matchup will be announced on Monday (April 29) but they will play in Edmond at 1 p.m. on Friday.
