Northeastern State University Athletics

The 1999 Football Team is the second quickest team to qualify for the NCAA postseason after moving from NAIA level.  Northeastern State claimed a share of the Lone Star Conference regular-season title with a 7-2 mark and won the NCAA West Region Championship at the University of California-Davis (19-14), reaching the National Semifinals.  NSU finished the season with a 10-4 mark and would have eight All-LSC selections, with one All-American and a Harlon Hill Award Finalist.
