TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Northeastern State women's tennis team is set for its opening match of the 2013 campaign. The RiverHawks will travel to Searcy, Ark., for a 2 p.m. matchup Feb. 5 against Harding University.
NSU is under new direction this season, as
Amanda Stone is set to debut as the new head coach of the squad. The NSU alum (class of 2007) has taken over the reins of the women's tennis program after spending the past two years at the University of Rochester (N.Y.).
Northeastern State recorded a 10-9 record last season, dropping six of its last seven matches. The RiverHawks also opened last season against the Lady Bisons, earning a 6-3 triumph. Harding finished last year with an 18-7 record and a 5-1 mark in the Great American Conference.
