ResultsTAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The No. 21-ranked Northeastern State women's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory over Lincoln Saturday morning at the NSU Tennis Complex.
 
The match was the first of the season at home for the RiverHawks (7-3, 3-0 MIAA), while the Blue Tigers fell to 0-3 on the year and 0-3 in the conference.
 
Northeastern State began the day with a 2-0 lead after Lincoln was forced to default at both No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
 
Senior Barbora Jirickova and freshman Easton Parker teamed up to defeat Abigail Gober and Ashley Roling 8-0 at the top of the doubles order. NSU led 4-0 after singles following an 8-2 victory on the second court from junior Lucia Cerchlanova and sophomore Valeriia Efimenko over Maeva Lasfargue and Yvonne Geldner.
 
The singles lineup for Northeastern State consisted of, from top to bottom, junior Kristina Savchenkov, freshman Molly Worden, Jirickova, Parker and Cerchlanova. Savchenkov, the No. 17-ranked singles player in the nation, won her match 6-1, 6-0. The other four RiverHawks picked up 6-0, 6-0 victories.
 
NSU is now set for a showdown with No. 19 Southwest Baptist. The two teams will tangle for conference supremacy at 11 a.m. March 22 in Tahlequah.
