JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The No. 16-ranked Northeastern State women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over Lincoln Friday afternoon at Jefferson City Country Club.

The RiverHawks (8-2, 3-0 MIAA) did not drop a set and won all contested matches by a combined score of 80-2. The lone point for the Blue Tigers (0-3, 0-3 MIAA) came at the No. 6 singles position where NSU defaulted.

Northeastern State is now set for a top-of-the-league showdown with four-time defending MIAA tournament champions Southwest Baptist. The Bearcats (9-2, 1-0 MIAA) are currently ranked No. 11 in the nation and will play host to NSU at 11 a.m. March 26 in Bolivar, Missouri. The two teams have met in the finals of the conference tournament each of the last three years, with SBU defeating Northeastern State all three times.
