VICKSBURG, Miss. –
Molly Worden picked up her sixth straight singles win but the RiverHawks fell 5-2 to Central Arkansas to wrap up their three match road trip on Saturday.
Northeastern State played second match against a NCAA Division I program in a row and this was their fourth of the season. Â
The Sugar Bears grabbed the doubles point on the RiverHawks with a sweep. However, NSU made UCA battle out two 7-6 wins in its top and three slots.Â
When play switched over to singles, Worden won the top slot, 6-4, 6-3, and
Caitlin McCullough won 6-1, 7-6 (5-0) but then play was already clinched toward UCA.
Central Arkansas with the win over the RiverHawks is 7-0 while Northeastern State is 5-4 with three of those losses coming to NCAA Division I programs.Â
The RiverHawks will be off until Thursday where they will have their home opener against Oklahoma Baptist.
