HAYS, Kan. – Northeastern State picked up their 31st straight MIAA regular season win with a 9-0 sweep over Fort Hays State on Friday.
The victory over FHSU was the second sweep of the season for the RiverHawks and junior
Molly Worden went undefeated in singles play in all four sets played this week.
NSU snapped an eight match winning streak by the Tigers who are now 8-3 overall.
In doubles, the closest game came on court-2 with
Caitlin McCullough and
Easton Parker edging out an 8-5 win.
Singles play was heavily tilted toward NSU with Fort Hays State not picking up a single set. McCullough had the closest battle on court-3 with a 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) tiebreaker win in set-two.
The RiverHawks are 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the MIAA heading into spring break were they will be idle until March 18 where they will host Lindenwood.
