OKLAHOMA CITY – Northeastern State came up short in the ITA Central Region Quarterfinals in both the singles and doubles flights that took place over the weekend in Oklahoma City.
 
#41-ranked 
Mayra Jovic picked up three wins including a 6-4, 6-3 victory over #23-ranked Kim Mossbacher of Oklahoma Baptist to advance into the final-8.  Jovic's run would come up short on Saturday with a 6-4, 6-1 loss to Klara Vickov of Southwest Baptist. 
 
On the other end of the main singles bracket, #6-ranked 
Tatjana Stoll earned a first round bye and advanced to Round of 16 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Southern Arkansas.   Stoll's run would end on Saturday with a 6-3, 6-3 loss to Washburn. 
 
In doubles, Stoll and 
Betka Gombarova upset the #3-ranked doubles team in the nation in the Round of 16 to reach the quarterfinals.  The pair shell-shocked SBU's Jill Van Den Dungen and Vickov, 8-1.  Central Oklahoma would end the NSU tandem in the quarterfinals, 9-7.
 
In the secondary flight, 
Lara Kohler, 
Emma Warnock, and 
Melissa Vera all earned first round wins before falling in the Round of 16.
