TAHLEQUAH -- Fresh off an upset of No. 14 Emporia State, the RiverHawks Women's Soccer team will continue their tour through the MIAA with road matchups against Missouri Western State and Northwest Missouri. This is the start of a four-match road trip for the RiverHawks.
First Touches
1. The RiverHawks are 8-3-1 this season, with a 3-2 record in conference play. They are coming off the upset over Emporia State that saw four separate RiverHawks find the back of the net. The win was their third consecutive.

Mariah Nicolet leads the RiverHawks with eight goals and 24 shots on goal.
Paulina Chavez has six goals while
Callie Rucker has scored three times. Nicolet also has four match-winning goals for NSU.
Brennan Hockett and
Ainsley Cunningham have been splitting time in net this season, with Hockett recording 23 saves and Cunningham making 19.
3. The RiverHawks are 5-3 all-time against Missouri Western but have lost three consecutive matches to the Griffons. The last matchup between NSU and Northwest Missouri came on Oct. 21, 2018, and resulted in a 2-1 win for the RiverHawks.

Chase Wooten is in his ninth season as head coach of the RiverHawks, with a career record of 116-53-15, the best in school history. He has taken NSU to the MIAA Tournament for seven straight seasons, including a berth in the conference finals in 2015.
5. The Griffons are 4-6-2 this season, with a 1-3-1 mark in conference action. Ashley Mathis and Taylor Schwartzkopf both have two goals this season to lead the team, with Schwartzkopf recording 22 shots on goal. Anna Mayer has been the lone keeper for the Griffons, recording 83 saves.
6. The Bearcats are 3-6-3 this season and 1-2-2 in MIAA action. Their previous two matches have both ended in 1-1 draws, with their last win being an overtime win against Washburn on Oct. 4. Kaitlyn Case leads the team with five goals this season. Teagan Blackburn has three goals and 12 shots on goal for the Bearcats. Alexis Serna Castillo has been the primary keeper, recording 53 saves and two shutouts on the season.
Looking Ahead: The RiverHawks will continue their road trip with matches at Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State before hosting Rogers State on Nov. 1.
