Tatjana Stoll is one step closer to a singles women's tennis national championship and won her first match at the ITA Cup on Thursday morning.
The NSU senior downed Ashley Penhorn of St. Mary's 6-2, 6-3, and will advance to the quarterfinals to face Jill Engelmann of Barry (Fla.). Engelmann won the ITA South Regional and beat West Florida's Irene Recuenco.
