HAYS, Kan. --
Brett Wilcoxen carded an even-70 to lead the RiverHawks in the FHSU Tiger Classic Tuesday final round Tuesday. Northeastern State would have four players finishing in the top-25 and placed tied for fourth as a team with a 888 (300-294-294).
The RiverHawks landed 15 birdies on the par-70 course but shot an identical round to Monday's second trip through the Smoky Hill Country Club.
Missouri Western matched the RiverHawks three-round total after climbing up two spots on the leaderboard.
Gabe Replogle and
Dominic Stevens paced the RiverHawks with 222 scores and were tied for 16th place. Stevens turned in a 72 Tuesday and moved up six spots on the leaderboard. Replogle entered the day as the tournament leader and slipped down after shooting an 80.
Ryan Morant and Wilcoxen were tied for 25th, shooting a 225. Morant would turn in a 78, while Wilcoxen had the team's low round of 70.
Carlos Gomez was tied for 53rd with a 234 (84-76-74).
As a team, NSU was second in the 15 team field with 38 birdies, and Stevens has the lowest scoring average on par-3s (2.92).
Rogers State won the invitational with an 866 score, beating Central Missouri by one stroke. Central Oklahoma's Kyle Hickey took medalist honors with a 213.
The RiverHawks men's golf program will be idle until the end of February.
