TAHLEQUAH – The RiverHawks Tennis team will travel to Springfield, Missouri, this weekend to take on Harding Saturday at 1 p.m. and Drury Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches will be indoors and fans are not permitted to attend.
FIRST SERVE
1. The RiverHawks open the season with five returners and three newcomers. The matches also begin the NSU tenure of head coach
Tim McLane. NSU has not played a competitive match since March 6.
2. Harding is 1-1 on the season but hasn't played since Jan. 29 when it beat Texas Permian Basin. The Bison are led by fifth-year Rylie Cox Evans.
3. Drury is 0-1 this spring after falling to MIAA woe Washburn 3-4 on Feb. 7. The Panthers are led by junior Nastasia Jedrychowski and sophomore Alma Abazi.
4. Due to winter weather, NSU's match on Feb. 15 against John Brown has been moved to March 13.
UP NEXT: NSU will travel to Tulsa for an indoor match with Southeastern Oklahoma Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.
