LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Northeastern State is six strokes off the lead after one round of the Warrior Invitational Monday.  Yasmin Hang and Nina Lee both shot matching 77 scores, with the RiverHawks bringing in a 317 score. 

Teams were greeted with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s, but they had to deal with windy conditions at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club.

Northeastern State just one shot back of second-place which Colorado Christian currently holds.   Missouri Western leads the eight-team event by five shots.

Lee and Hang are tied for third place.  Hang paced the team with five birdies and shot a one-under on the back nine.  However, the freshman shot six-over in the front, with two doubles-boogies. 

Kaylee Petersen shot a 78 and is tied for seventh overall.

Kelly Swanson carded an 85, and Aitana Hernandez turned in an 87. 

Northeastern State wraps up the tournament on Tuesday morning.
