MUSKOGEE -- Northeastern State slipped two spots on the leaderboard in the final round of their 22nd Annual Men's Golf Classic Tuesday and placed tenth with an 874 (298-285-291).
Freshman
Gabe Replogle paced the RiverHawks at the Muskogee Golf Course with an even 213 (72-69-72) and was tied for 12th place overall. The native from Broken Arrow rallied on the back nine of the final round with a 3-under and paced the 20 team field with 16 birdies.
Carlos Gomez was a shot back, and a boogie on the final hole put him one-over for the tournament (72-71-71) and finished tied for 17th overall.
Brayden Strickland carded a 220 (74-72-74) and was tied for 44th place.
Grant Hynes shot a 230 (81-73-76), and
Ryan Morant had a 232 (80-78-74)
Bryson Terry played as an individual and turned in a three-round total of 233 (77-75-81).
The RiverHawks were in the middle of the field in birdies (41) and pars (151).
Central Missouri repeated as champions of the tournament and won the classic for the fourth time on an 847 score, beating Henderson State by four strokes.
Medalist honors went to Rogers State's Luke Palmowski, who scored a 207 and beat Southern Arkansas' Kade Johnson on the second playoff hole.
The RiverHawks will head to the Shangri La Resort next Monday for the MIAA Championship.
