TAHLEQUAH -- The Northeastern State golf program and head coach
Scott Varner announced its fall schedule, which features five tournaments for each team, with five of those within the State of Oklahoma.
The RiverHawks women's team opens up the fall slate at the Fall Central Region Preview, hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma at the Adam's Pointe Golf Club in Kansas City from Sept. 7-8.
Both teams are in action one week following, with the men making their debut at the Washburn Invitational for an MIAA Designated Event at the Topeka Country Club (Sept. 13-14). The women will be in Broken Arrow hosting their home tournament for the first time since 2019 at The Club at Indian Springs.
The NSU men will in locally placed for their next two tournaments hosting the 23rd annual golf classic on Sept. 20-21 at the Muskogee Golf Club for the sixth consecutive season. The RiverHawks head to Grand Lake a week later to participate in the MSSU Invitational at the Shangri-La Golf Course.
Women's Golf picks up the fall action on Oct. 4-5 with a visit to Edmond for Central Oklahoma's home tournament at The Golf Club of Edmond. The men's team will head to St. Joseph, Mo., on Oct. 11-12 to play in the Holiday Inn Express Classic hosted by Missouri Western at the St. Joseph Country Club.
Both teams will be on the course on Oct. 18-19. Men's Golf closes the first half of their season and heads to Fort Hays State for the second MIAA Designated Event (Hays, Kan./Smoky Hill Country Club). Women's Golf plays at the NCAA Division II Central Region Preview hosted by Henderson State (Hot Springs, Ark./Hot Springs Country Club).
The fall golf season closes out on Oct. 25-26, with the women's team playing for The Tulsa Cup, hosted by Rogers State at the Meadowbrook Country Club.
