KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Northeastern State will go back-to-back with MIAA Men's Golf Athlete of the Week Honors, with Ryan Morant being named Wednesday by association officials.

Morant finished one stroke back of the medalist lead and finished in third place overall, carding a 214 (68-75-71) at the MSSU Invitational Tuesday.  

The junior had a pair of under-par rounds and his best career finish at Northeastern State.  The native of Spring, Texas, had an opportunity to tie for medalist with an eagle put on the last hole.  

He finished the three-round tournament with 13 birdies and 31 pars.

In the prior week, Carlos Gomez won MIAA honors.
