LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The RiverHawks are within striking distance. They are three strokes back of the lead following the first round of the Warrior Invitational Monday on the par-72, 7062-yard Stallion Mountain Golf Club. Northeastern State turned in a 307 with
Carlos Gomez carding a 74, good enough to put him tied for seventh overall.
Gomez landed ten pars and three birdies to lead the RiverHawks.
Gabe Replogle hit a four-over to tie for 14th place.
Brayden Strickland was right behind him by a stroke tied for 22nd place.
Brett Wilcoxen shot an 80, and
Kaden Armstrong made his debut with an 84.

The RiverHawks landed 12 birdies, with nine of them coming on par-5s.
Washburn leads McKendree by a pair of shots, with Westminster College (UT) tied with Northeastern State.
Teams will return to the course Tuesday for a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start.
