LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The winless drought is over. Northeastern State landed two eagles and a birdie on the last hole to surge for a first-place tie at the Warrior Invitational.
The RiverHawks shot a tournament-low 291 on Tuesday and carded a 598 on the par-72, 7062-yard Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
Northeastern State tied with McKendree and Washburn, with the win being the first since March 26, 2012 (Dave Falconer Classic - Danville, Ark.).

Carlos Gomez led NSU with a third-place finish, carding a three-under round on Tuesday good for a 70. He would finish three-back of medalist with a 144 overall, earning his fifth career top-five.
Brayden Strickland was tied for 12th overall with a 151 (77-74),
Brett Wilcoxen jumped 20 positions on the leaderboard and placed tied for 34th with a 154 (80-74).
Kaden Armstrong and
Gabe Replogle shot 155 and were tied for 40th.
The RiverHawks will remain in Las Vegas and have a day off before playing in the Aliante Desert Classic on March 10-11.
