MARYVILLE, Mo. –
Sandra Mari Marti won her singles and doubles matches as Northeastern State dropped a road contest to No. 19 ranked Northwest Missouri 6-1 on Friday afternoon.
The sophomore claimed her fourth consecutive singles match following a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 win on court three. Mari Marti also took court three in doubles, 6-2, with
Tegan Heaton for their fifth consecutive victory.
Alisha Moldakhmetova and Leah Gonzales Edwards won their second sets, but both would fall 6-1 in a decisive third.
With the setback, Northeastern State drops to 7-5 (2-2 MIAA), and Northwest Missouri moves to 18-1 (4-0 MIAA).
The RiverHawks head next to Washburn for a match Saturday at 10 a.m.
