Junior (2012) – Recorded nine starts and played in all 10 games . . . named All-MIAA Honorable Mention . . . posted 26 tackles on the year with 4.0 tackles for loss . . . led NSU with five interceptions, and finished second in the MIAA and 14th in the nation with 0.5 INT’s per game . . . also added five pass breakups . . . served as Northeastern State’s primary return man, leading the squad in both kickoff returns (15) and punt returns (7) . . . recorded an 18.3 average on KO returns and a 3.0 average on punt returns . . . four of his punt returns came against Washburn, which was also the only game he did not start . . . recorded two interceptions and one sack against Missouri Western . . . tallied a 36-yard INT return against Emporia State, while also registering a season-high six tackles . . . posted 2.0 tackles for loss against Lincoln . . . finished the season with 344 all-purpose yards.
 
Sophomore (2011) – Played in all 12 games and started the Mineral Water Bowl against Minnesota State . . . finished the season with 22 tackles and a team-high eight pass breakups . . . also finished second on the team with four interceptions for 112 return yards . . . recorded INT’s in three of the final four games of the season, including a 52-yard interception return for touchdown against Southwestern Oklahoma State . . . had four kickoff returns for 91 yards (22.8 average), including a season-best 39-yarder against Harding . . . three of his four kickoff returns were against Midwestern State . . . posted a season-high five tackles against Arkansas-Monticello . . . also registered four stops against SWOSU . . . ended the year with 203 all-purpose yards.
 
New Mexico Military Institute (2009-11) – Played both football and basketball as a member of the Broncos . . . competed in seven games as a member of the football team during the 2010 season . . . finished the year with 13 tackles, four interceptions and one INT return for touchdown . . . played two seasons as a guard for the Broncos basketball team . . . played 22 games in his first season (2009-10) and two games in his second year (2010-11) . . . in his first year with the team, Jones averaged 4.0 points per game (87 total), 2.2 assists per game (48) and 2.0 rebounds per game (45) . . . he shot 35 percent from the field (25-for-71) and from downtown (9-for-26), while also shooting 50 percent (10-for-20) from the free-throw line . . . he also added 16 steals and three blocks.
 
Edward Waters College (2008-09) – Attended EWC straight out of high school . . . did not compete in athletics.
 
High School – Was a three-year letterwinner at Robert E. Lee HS . . . also played basketball for three years and led the Generals to the state semifinals junior year.
